Dr. Priti Dhawan (Head of Department) 

Dr. Dhawan is an Associate Professor, the senior most faculty member of the Department and presently the Bursar of College. Dr. Dhawan has also held the post of Vice-Principal at LSR (2011 – 2014). She received her Doctorate degree in the area of Developmental Psychology from the University of Delhi in 1992. Her research interests lie in Child Development and Counselling.

Dr. Kanika K. Ahuja

Dr. Ahuja is an Associate Professor at our Department. She received her Doctorate degree from the University of Delhi in the area of organizational behaviour in 2004. Her other areas of interest are social psychology and psychometry. She provides soft skills training to schools and corporate houses. She also serves as the media coordinator for College and is presently the Faculty Advisor for the College’s Placement Cell.

Dr. Puspita Behera

Dr. Behera is a Senior Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychology. She teaches papers on Physiological Psychology, Statistics and Psychological Testing among others. She was awarded her Doctoral degree in the area of Organizational Behaviour from IIT, Bombay in 2007. Her areas of interest include social psychology and bio-psychology.

Dr. Parul Bansal

Dr. Bansal is an Assistant Professor at our Department. She received her Doctorate degree from the University of Delhi in 2010. Her Ph.D. is a psycho-social study of Identity in the Indian Youth. Presently, her interests are in the Psychology of Self and Identity, Critical Psychology and Psychoanalysis. Dr. Bansal’s skill sets include mental health consultation and insight-oriented clinical work, curriculum development and qualitative research.

Ms. Sentisungla Longchar

Ms. Longchar is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychology. She completed her M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from the Central Institute of Psychiatry in 2007. Her in-progress Ph.D. from the University of Delhi is in the area of Autism. Her interests also include Peace and Conflict Studies and the indigenous psychology of people from North-East India.

Dr. Megha Dhillon

Dr. Dhillon is an Assistant Professor at our Department. She completed her Ph. D titled “Development of Conflict Resolution Strategies in Children” from the University of Delhi in 2013. Her areas of interest include gender, and child/adolescent development. Her research work has focused on the qualitative investigation of women’s experiences in the area of body image and street harassment.

Dr. Bhawna Devi

Dr. Devi is an Assistant Professor at the Department. She received her Doctorate degree from the University of Delhi in 2014. Her work explored the experiences of menstruation among adolescent girls. She also pursues her research interests in Positive Psychology and Adolescence.

Ms. Siksha Deepak

Ms. Deepak is an Assistant Professor at the Department. She is currently pursuing her Ph. D titled “Explorations into the experiences of love in young adults” from the University of Delhi. Her areas of interest include positive psychology and qualitative research.

Ms. Ngashangva Pamyaphy

Ms. Ngashangva Pamyaphy is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychology. She obtained her M. Phil in Medical and Social Psychology from the Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi. She has worked with various rehabilitation institutes providing services to persons with mental illness. Her area of interest includes developmental disabilities and cultural studies.
